  1. Morning all They have finally settled. Paid the money into my account by bank transfer last wednesday, just been too busy to post on here. Thanks to everyone who helped out over the last few days, particularly Hagen. And thanks to CAG for all the support and advice. I'm off to donate now cos I know they can't bounce a bank transfer (or can they?)
  2. Pen, Dollar song was "never ending story" but "I'm still waiting" also works. Maybe a thread in the bear garden should be "songs that remind you of your bank charges claim" and could include such gems as........ One hand in my pocket - Alanis Morissette Took out a loan - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Wages Day - Deacon Blue and my personal favourite....... Money for Nothing - Dire Straits
  3. Lets hope I don't dissapoint anyone then. A bit aprehensive but looking forward to it all. By the time they've got my info out of the vault I may have left them a letter on a radiator (cos you can do that apparently:) )
  4. Don't worry. I have a bell here for you already. Every one comes with a free ring ding!!! And yes, you can be there when I wind them up:) Trust me, The highlights are more interesting than the reality. Look here for the sleep inducing stuff Dealing with Debt - How to Wind up a Company that owes you Money I really am starting to wonder if I will get my money. It's like being on an escalator that goes into reverse just as you're stepping off. I know they have to pay in the end but this has been going on since christmas! Every time I think about it I'm reminded of a terrible DOLLAR son
  5. Hi calm1. My records are in secure storage (smells like something to me) and will take up to 72 hours to retrieve. So in answer to your question, not very well. Have a feeling they'll start taking otice of me soon though!!! How's you?
  6. Cheers pen, There's nothing like a minute in the bosom of a friendly woman to make a man feel better. Can I get out now? It's dark in here! As for slapping them. Yes I am going to slap them, with a winding up petition. High court here I come:eek:
  7. Cheers guys. Haven't had much time this weekendso haven't been able to do much but I'll ring [problem] (BAHH HUMBUG) in the morning and see what they have to say and start doing some reading on the way forward. It appears that fate was very tempted Gary!!!!
  8. Tell me about it! It's also getting expensive as I paid my tax bill yesterday with some of the money!!! I'm now £1400 overdrawn:eek:
  9. Just been to the bank, Cheque cancelled again. Was showing as cleared yesterday. IS this something to do with the test case?
  10. Yes I have clothes. Went to NEXT sale this morning specially for the occassion. Yes it has been a good week but can't celebrate too much as I have stuff to do tomorow. In Clitheroe (lovely place from what I remember) so you'll have to drink that pint yourself for now;) Enjoy
  11. No, we bought it as a rennovation project and split up half way through the knocking it to bits stage. She took the development money (as well as the shirt off my back and some of my favourite music) and I was left struggling to keep up with the mortgage (new business) and living in a hovell. Bank hit me hard (£750 in 2 months) and thats how I ended up here Things much better now. Work going well and have managed to do bits but couldn't get enough together for the big stuff (windows, doors etc) All good now though. Onwards and upwards:D
  12. No you wouldn't, it's very boring. It involves a girl bogging off with all my money:eek: God I'm a mug sometimes!!!! All that maters now is it's getting fixed. Who knows, I may even have enough left over for a new doorbell for ya, ding dong!!!!!
  13. I have one already. My next big buy will be a Taylor 815 but I have seen and played a rather nice Guild recently (love the old Americans) but whatever it is it will be a Jumbo! Unfrtunately this win is going on the house though:( Only by marriage. Does this mean I'm contagous:eek:
  14. Persoanlly I wouldn't agree to any of them. Most people are advised to send a letter stating that they accept the settlement unconditionally but reserve the right to make future claims if any further unlawful charges are levied on the account. It is up to you of course;)
  15. Hi, From what I've read quite a few people get this letter. Advice seems to be to write back saying you will attend a meetig if they provide a full agenda. I think there's a thread somewhere with a template but I can't for the life i me remember where I saw it. Hope this helps
  16. Yes, I would imagine Mr. Pen has had reason to call you a fire breathing mythical creature before now;) It's a really strange coincidence that your claims ended with your degree isn't it. Time to reflect me thinks. You could buy a really big mirror with your winnings. That would surely please Mr.Pen:D
  17. Good to hear you're ok. I thought Mr. sheen shone umpteen things clean, flew and areoplane and looked a bit like a wierd uncle of mine!!! I never polish anything anyway (except my guitars;) )
  18. Sounds very much like a highly lucrative success to me. Well done and congratulations:D
  19. Yes, pass me the Mr. Sheen and a duster and I'll be right with you:D How you feeling today? I was very sad when I heard your news before you signed off last night. Felt a bit guilty for being so happy when you'd had a pants day!
  20. Does that mean you'd be willing to go out in a highly polished door bell?
