Over the past 6 years I have had a number of credit cards but I have not retained the account numbers of those cards that are no longer current. I know that I have paid excessive charges on these cards. How can I ask for details of these charges without the account numbers. Has anyone resolved this problem

Write to the company concerned using the DPA request letter and ask for the information they hold on you, giving any previous addresses so they can find the details.

Sarah,

Have you started your own thread for your case. If you supply as much relevant info as possible, such as date the a/c was opened or closed, your full name, addresses where you lived, etc, this should help them find you on their systems.

Use this SAR - http://www.consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/48-bank-templates/110--data-protection-act-1998-subject-access-request-

We could do with some help from you
