hi everyone,

I signed up to this forum last Summer and sent off my dpa to Lloyds TSB and they sent me oodles of bank statements, I sat and did it then but then got so bamboozled I gave it up as a bad job, I have statements up till June last year, should I send another dpa requesting statements from June till now and start again or just claim till that point?

Also do I have to a spreadsheet to show charges to send with the next letter?

I'm very confused, I hope someone can help me, I'm determined not to let them get away with this any longer!

Thankyou in advance

Hiya Paula

I think you need to start at the begining, and follow the tried and tested path to reclaim your unlawful charges. All the information you will ever need is on this fantastic thread

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/site-questions-suggestions/53182-cant-find-what-youre.html

Knowledge is power and if you spend enough time reading threads the whole process will seem less confusing and intimidating. If you get stuck then shout but for your own reassurance you need to be aware of what you are doing and what to expect.

Good luck

Hi

Instead of doing another SAR (DPA) for your statements since last June, could you not get them off internet banking?? Save you waiting another month or so.

Good luck, let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Dollie,

Thanks for that hun, I've spent all morning reading and have trawled through the statements they sent me, I have got it to £1149 for the joint account and so far £625 on my sole one but I have more statements somewhere for mine.

I'll go to your link now an dsee what I can see, I think I may be ready almost to send this off.

Thankyou for your reply.

Thanks Barty, I have found a fair few knocking about and can go back on internet banking, never thought of that, how do I send it to them?

Do I just write them in a letter as an ammount or do I have to break it down to them?

Hi,

Thanks for your help in this, I have dredged up the old bank statements and just sat and done the spreadsheet, but I'm not convinced I've done it right but it seems fair enough, so I do I send the 2nd letter asking for the charges back with a print out of the spread sheet and open my case in the Lloyds TSB thread now?

I need all the help I can get!

Thanking you!

Hi,

Will do Barty, Thanks, just been reading some threads from other disgruntled Lloyds TSB customers and feel assured or worried

Anyhow, the leetters and schedules are on the side, have done 2, 1 for each account, each with the calculated 8% so I guess I just wait now, I assume it's 14 days from the date they receive it?

Is there anyway of knowing when they recieve it?

Hi Paula,

Just reading your above post... you say you've added the 8% interest to the prelim letters? The 8% is only added to the amount owed when you make the claim with the court... not before. I also made this mistake and had to resubmit the letters.

As for knowing when they receive it... send it recorded delivery. It's guaranteed next day delivery, and they have to sign for it!

Hope this helps.

  • 3 weeks later...

HI everyone,

I sent my prelim letters off 3 weeks ago today, I also sent spreadsheets showing how much owed and the dates, I've allowed for the bank holiday and the 14 days is well and truly up, I did recieve a reply saying they were investigating and could be 4 weeks but I was told to ignore that and continue,s o do I now set up the letter before action and send that off, do I need to resend spreadsheets?

Hope someone can help me!

Thanks in advance.
