Good evening PD - hope you're well, Ma'am? :)

Hi van - sorry to hear you're still having a tough time my friend.

I think pete's the best one for advice on this van but I would say that you don't have to put up with unwanted phone calls from "HSBC and their ilk".

Write to them (recorded delivery of course ) and tell them that they should not contact you by telephone with immediate effect. Any contact should be by letter only. There's a little bit I copied from another thread (thanks car 2403) which may help you with this.........

"If you continue to harass me by calling me, you will be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.

Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded and used as evidence in any further formal complaint."

The whole letter is on this link Van , but all of it may not apply to you - just use what you think you need - and get them off your back........

All the best

You've been the inspiration for loads of people on here ,me included) this sounds sooooooo final...........

Is there no way you can delay it until the new POCs surface ? However , knowing you , you've weighed up all the pros and cons before coming to this decision ....... but it's a shame ....... :(

Can we take it you'll still be on the BG and helping out with others etc ..... (says he hopefully .........;))xx

We posted within 2 mins of each other pete ......:)

I knew you'd be looking after the Duchess , and , as you say , if another case can set a precedent , there might not be much of a problem in resurrecting a Struck -out claim....... as long as it's within the Statute of Limitations .. :D
