Hi people,

I`m new on here, so I thought it was about time I joined in with all the action.

I sent off my S.A.R on Monday 22 Jan and it was received by LLoyds TSB Friday 26 Jan, even though it was First Class Recorded. I`ll give them 45 days from Friday 26 Jan to allow delivery.

I`ll keep my eye on the threads to see how everyone else is getting, but it`s all really interesting stuff so far.

I`m not sure on how the interest is worked out though, especially if I go back 6 years. I`ve checked my online banking and went back about 18 months, there`s something like £460 so far, it`s just I don`t understand how to work out the interest.

Can anyone help me on this?

Catch you all soon.

Ciao for now

  • 1 month later...

Hi again,

I received my statements and schedule of charges this morning, with over a week of the 40 days deadline to go.

So far, it looks like I will be claiming back £795 in stolen money. I also have a charge of £35 due on next month now. Hopefully they will have the sense not to charge me for that one.

I will be sending out Prelim Letter with the schedule of charges on Monday via Recorded Delivery.

I will keep you all post on how things are going.

Catch you all later.

Hi again,

I was going to send my Prelim Letter with a schedule of charges off today, but thought I`d wait a day or two just to make sure what I send off is right.

I`m claiming back £795, with no interest charges, as like many, I can`t quite understand how this is worked out.

The information I received back from Lloyds TSB PLC Copy Statement Unit was a summary list of charges dated from 1st September and all information before that is in the form of copy statements. I thought I might have received actual statements for the last 6 years, but I guess not.

Has any one else recieved their data in this form?

Also, the summary list does not show a balance either before or after the charges where withdrawm, so I think trying to calculate interest would be even more difficult.

I was wondering, what information should I list on my shedule of charges? Would the Date, Type Of Charge, Amount and Statement Sheet Number be sufficient?

Does anyone know of an easy way to work out the 8% Interest which is applied at the time of entering a Court claim? I just can`t get my head around this Interest business. I claiming £795. Do I need to calculate the interest for each Bank Charge from the date it was charged until the date I put on the Court Form then add them together? If so, how do I do that?

I would appreciate it if someone could help me on this.

One more thing, has anyone ordered one of the Small Claims Pack which is available from this site? Are they any good? The reason I ask is that I ordered mine a few weeks ago, and I`m still waiting for it. I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems.

Thanks in advance.

Hi cindytc,

Thanks for that.

I have checked those Spreadsheets out before but can`t seem to get my head around them.

I don`t think I`ll bother with the interest.

Thanks again

just delete the section with the interest if it helps

but when you file to court you will need the 8% then so if you try it out now you should figure out how to use it

goodluck with that

Hi everyone,

I`ve just had a thought.

Has anyone popped into their local Lloyds TSB Branch and asked Customer Services to work out the interest for them?

I`m thinking about this as I only received approximately 2 years of Statements from around 2003 - 2002 inclusive.

The actual Charges where listed as a Summary Chart, with no Balance before or after the Charges where applied, meaning I have no information to work out the interest with.

Has anyone received this sort of information?

If I decide not to include Interest at the Preliminary Request Stage, am I still required to enter it at the Court File Stage? I`m not really interested in the Interest. I`m just in it for what they stole from me and to annoy a few pie eating shareholders in cheap suits.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Eveyone,

I`ve been watching these forums with great interest for the past couple of week. It`s all very interesting, to say the least.

Anyway,

Subject Access Request Sent - Recorded Delivery - 22.1.07

Lloyds TSB PLC. Received - 26.1.07

Preliminary Request For Payment Sent - 9.3.07

I`m claiming for £795 (no interest added, I found it too hard to work out).

I also have a charge which will be applied on 1.4.07. Also included in the Preli was a request to cancel the upcoming charge/s as they are unlawful and if any such charges are applied then they will have commited a pre-meditated breach of the law, and I will inform all the relevant authorites.

Of course, I don`t expect them to pay any attention, and I`ve already calculated the 8% interest ready for the Court Claim.

I`ll keep you all posted as I receive word, if any.

Until next time, keep fighting and good luck to everyone on here!
