Yes, but it took a little finding again! This is it. You download the zip file, extract it, then you need to customise the contents page, and there are a couple of web links that you need to go to and print direct from web.

Of course, you must also include your own bank statements, and copies of any communication with the bank.

I have a hearing date of 11/07. I found out yesterday that my claim was also in PQ's caseload.

I have emailed him, with a copy by snailmail too, just in case.

I haven't exactly had a reply from PQ, but I did get a reply, and it was cc'd as what appears to be an internal transfer, as included below. Note the email addresses, it appears that there are at least three people working as PQ, or maybe he just keeps multiple email accounts to organise his workload!

Hi LynZe, I think there's some assistance on here somewhere - give me a few minutes and I'll try to find a link for you.

 

However, from memory of doing mine, I should say that most of the bundle you simply have to print out. It details the past cases normally referred to as precedent for our claims. Along with them, you have to include copies of your bank statements with the charges highlighted (tiresome, but not difficult), and copies of any communication you've had with the bank concerning these charges. Also you need a summary sheet showing the charges and their total - there is a brilliant spreadsheet for this -I'll find that link for you too.

Finally you need to number the pages, and edit the contents page, then bind it into a convenient package, with your case number and account number clearly marked on the front.

Do I take much notice of that or should I get on with this flippin bundle lark? I have asked her to fax me the letter in order we may reach a speedy conclusion. I'll let you know.

Hi all,

 

I've just got through on the phone to the Leicester court, and apparently Barclays have not complied with their requirements! :)

 

This means in effect that I have won! I have been advised to visit the court tomorrow anyway, and they will help me with the next step, but basically the defence from Barclays was either thrown out, or didn't arrive!!

 

Not being one to count my chickens, I'll hold back from claiming a win until I actually get the money - but its looking good!!!

 

cogley - see what the letter says, maybe (just maybe!) they are now seetling in full. If so, then you don't need the 'bundle'. If, on the other hand they have offered something significantly less, then go on and get your court bundle ready. It's not that bad once you get started.

Hey good for you! Having to turn up will just be a formality but I can understand you not wanting to count your chickens.

 

Bundle has to be at the court tomorrow so I am ploughing ahead, lost under a mountain of paperwork. I too am not counting my chickens were Kate's letter is concerned.

The letter from the court was waiting for me when I got home this evening.

It appears that Barclays failed to file their defence! So the court has 'struck out' their case. Meaning I win my claim bt default.

 

The actual hearing is cancelled, but I need to attend the court for advice on how to proceed and get the money from them.

I guess they'll string it out as long as they can, but they must pay!

 

I'll continue to update this thread until I get the payment.

I guess from the exact nature of the letter I got from the court today, that the same applies to several others due at Leicester tomorrow.

Well, ok. That was interesting!

Attached is an image of page 2 of the letter I got from the court, it arrived yesterday June 20th, the day before the hearing was due (today). Page 1 is just a standard cover from the court and has only my personal details on it.

 

Having phoned the court yesterday, unaware of the letter, I was told what had happened, and that I should go to the court anyway where I would receive advice on how to proceed.

 

Today, a very helpful young lady at the court gave me a sheet of paper, and asked me to write a simple letter addressed to the court requesting judgment in the appropriate case number, and for the total amount of money involved (in this case a little over £1000).

 

She then took it away briefly to confirm it was OK, and finally stamped it with a rubber stamp of some kind, and placed it in one of her trays.

 

Apparently I can send in bailiffs if I don't have the money within 14 days! (I think she meant 14 days from judgement, but I'm not sure)

 

A few minutes ago I tried to phone Paul Quinn and got an answer machine, so I left a brief message asking for the money, and to phone me back.

 

I have also sent a brief email requesting the money be sent by cheque immediately.

 

So far I have not had a response from either.
