They are listed as solicitors and lawyers, and as such you would think they would know better than to send these out sort of mailers-and with

0870 phone numbers.

They don't appeae to have a website, but you can see a little bit about them here-

Courtlink (uk) Ltd in Basingstoke, Reading - Solicitors, Lawyers & Legal Advisors in Reading - Touch Reading RG21

where you will find a cheaper number to ring them if you want. Personally I

would wait until they wrote to you. In the meantime, take a look at your

credit reports and see if there is any indication of what is behind the call.

If you can, try and keep their message.

Dont phone them!!!! They appear to be Legal Advisors based in Basingstoke. Also just cgecked on Companies House website and they are supposed to be a dormant company, which means they shouldn't be making any phone calls!!!

Ignore them. If you get any paperwork from them, please let me know.

They are not a registered firm of solicitors either! Please wait until you have something in writing from them and then post back here.

  • 3 weeks later...

ooh, I had a letter from them recently demanding payment for a debt I do not acknowledge with Ann Summers. I wrote and paid the £1 for a copy of a credit agreement and haven't heard back within the 12 days. If they are dormant then should I report them and if so who to?????

PS does anyone know how you actually make the debt unenforceable and how you go about proving they never sent a copy of the agreement??

Thanks everyone

Lisa

You little tinker 007! You have had hundreds of replies to your own posts.:D

But to answer your point, you cannot make the debt unenforceable.Only

Courtlink can do that by not responding to your CCA request in time- ie

2 days+ 12 working days+ i month. If they have any sense, they will send it

by recorded delivery, if they don't, they have no proof they sent it.

Strictly speaking the debt is not even then unenforceable, as it can be

restarted by producing proof that they have a right to pursue for the debt

and obtaining a Court Order. As that entails admitting to the Court that they have committed a criminal offence and face an inevitable heavy fine, most

companies tend to drop the matter.

If you want to know anything else, start a new thread, and we will respond.

Sorry Slimtrader, but it is hard for me to resist a pretty face. and who knows,

I might even get a free haircut if I am down that way soon.
