HELLO all ,

ive just started the ball rolling against lloyds tsb.

im so angry. last xmas i had 105 pounds in charges taken a week before christmas. I couldnt get my little boy as many gifts as i'd have liked. This time though i was ready for it.

have already sent my preliminary letter and the LBA is printed and ready. Just a quick query though, to the more experienced if youre reading.

I got a really prompt reply to the preliminary letter. should i wait the 14 days before sending the LBA or is it the 14 days from the LBA to the moneyclaim thats important ????

Welcome to the site.

I have edited your thread title as it is bordering libel !

In response to your questions 14 calendar days between letters.

If they have responded within the timescale you can then progress to the next one.

Take some time to read up more.

You are approaching serious decisions and need to be fully briefed to prevent complications with your claim later.:)

Hiya. i ve also just sent my first letter of to the A&L, did the same thing to me this christmas. they took £500 of my benifit money and left me with nothing for christmas.

good luck to you with your claim.

Again you can stop them from doing this by sending whats called a right of appropriation letter.

Its better actually if you take it in to the bank.

Needs to be taken 7 days before your expected payment,and a new request for each subsequent one.

read more about this in the bank temps library but here is an example;

RIGHT OF APPROPRIATION

Dear Sir/Madam,

ACCOUNT NUMBER: xxxxxxxxx

I am writing to inform you that I am due to have a Tax Credit payment of £xxx paid into my account on xx/xx/xx, and I wish to use my first right of appropriation for this money, for the following purposes;

Rent £xx

Utilities bills £xx

Housekeeping money £xx

I will withdraw the money on the day that it is deposited for the above use, and I would be grateful if you would ensure that any other payments out of my account do not interfere with this withdrawal.

Yours faithfully,
