soccersixes chasing owed money

Hi there

Manager for our soccer sixes team moved overseas mid season and we struggled for numbers

we told the ref about 5 weeks prior to seasons end that we would see out these games then be done and he told us he’d ’pass the message on to the relevant people’.

Heard nothing,

hen 3 days prior to the new season beginning we were given our fixture for that weekend.

Told the guy over text we had pulled out and the ref should’ve passed a message on but we were told sufficient notice wasn’t given and it needed to be in writing.

I argued it’s not our fault the ref didn’t do as he said but we were countered by the T&Cs. 

now being chased for what was £608 kindly reduced to £476 to pay off remainder of the season.

Been sent a letter in the post from their accountancy team and told needs to be paid by Friday.

seen a lot of the other threads saying we can literally just ignore everything but im concerned about debt collections and credit score being harmed.

Can anyone confirm if this all works/what we should do?

If the legendary dx could offer his wisdom it would be greatly appreciated

a DCA is NOT A BAILIFF

and have 

ZERO legal powers on ANY debt - no matter what it's type.

moved to the gyms/Health clubs forum.

not sure where you get the idea that any ole debt passed to a DCA gives them some magically power to make it appear on credit files..

is the DCA the furthest they’d take this case?

didn’t know if there’s a step up as they are affiliated with the FA.

im clueless with this sorts of stuff so as expected it concerns me

and would your simple advice be to simply ignore even though we’ve had a physical letter through from soccersixes themselves

Hi Roberto,

Read some of the other threads here about S Sixes - they all follow the same routine of threats, threats, then nothing.

When you do this, you'll see how many have been in exactly the same situation as you are.

Keep us updated as necessary .............

Just been messaged saying as no payments have been made further action is going to be taken.

Correct to ignore. Only thing that matters is a letter of claim (and a harmless DCA can't do that).

In the 10+ years of threads from Soccersixes, we've NEVER seen a letter of claim from them.

They'll go away eventually.

we are self help too..

you should be blocking and bouncing ALL emails/addresses and blocking their number and reporting the txtx to spam 7726.

if you'd read up...you'd have known to do that.

cool thanks all. Will continue to ignore and block any incoming emails/texts. Been text on 3 different mobiles now but all now being sent to spam
