just got my self-help kit for the small claims court:D

 

is it worth it to ring the HSBC and ask for the money they owe me ( have sent two leters last being "before action")just in case they want to sort things out:rolleyes:or do i just fill out the forms and send to the courts

Good luck Swampy! start your own thread though in the section of the forum dedicated to the bank you are claiming against. Post updates so that mods and site helpers know where you are at. Read read read! be prepared....

Send 2 copies of your schedule of charges, clearly marked with your claim no. + a brief covering letter asking for them to be filed with your claim to:

Money Claim Online

Northampton County Court

21-27 St. Katharine's Street

Northampton

NN1 2LH

 

Dear Sir/Madam

 

(Your Name) –v- (Bank)

Claim No: ********

Date Issued: xx/xx/xx

 

Please find enclosed a schedule of penalty charges taken from me by the defendant, along with interest claimed at the annual rate of 8% pursuant to section 69 of the County Court Act. The interest in addition to the amount in charges equates to the total amount of my claim, namely £(AMOUNT).

 

I respectfully request that the enclosed schedule should be attached to the particulars of my claim.

When you receive the Notice of Acknowledgement send a copy to the bank’s solicitors.

all in the post now

 

i have a had a "Acknowledgment of service" back and DG Solicitors (Deborah D'Aubney) have said they intend to defend all of this claim

 

i hope i not have to go to court :confused:

 

hopefully this is what they do to scare me off
