My son is having the same trouble

its absolute daylight robbery and just a means of making a lot of money out of 18 and 19 year olds..

..it all lands at the door of the person who gives their bank details on line

without realising they will be liable when their friends get bored and stop playing or turning up.

Advise your kids never to sign up for anything on line without looking at forums like these first.

Its a disgrace they are allowed to get away with this I am sure it is happening to thousands accross the country.

Hi Aadam and welcome to CAG

I've moved your post from this old thread - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?405943-Soccersixes.net&p=4368325&viewfull=1#post4368325

.............. so you now have your own thread.

We've seen very little evidence of any of the organising companies actually taking serious action for alleged debts, probably because the agreements they use are not properly drafted or legally binding. However, youngsters who may not know better may feel obliged to pay what was told.

You're certainly right - kids should think very carefully about being "the one" who agrees to pay from their bank account. It does seem that the kids that aren't obligated to pay are all too happy to quit as soon as they feel like it, leaving their friend to face the consequences.

However, I'm not so sure about the daylight robbery accusation. I doubt they make a lot of money from the teenagers who play in these "leagues" because so many teams will break up and not pay what was agreed.

:-)
