DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

as far as I know

they can only charge you 20% tax on the 8% so that's 20% of the 297 figure

they are wrong.

dx

That's what was confusing me dx

So they have also applied 20% tax to all other interest ?

Sorry to ask but based on the gross figures provided what should the net figure be with the correct tax deducted ?

Cheers

whatever 8% payment they are giving you

work out 1/5th [20%] of that.

Cheers dx I am ok with that but they have taxed me on the 8% interest figure of £1,106.36 ? Is that the same as simple or should it have been at credit card rate ?

Sorry totally confused as to how they have calculated and presented figures as I will need to respond with correct figures somehow and may need your kind assistance in re-presenting.

Looks to me like they have set out the redress correctly.

Your total 8% interest is £50.48 + £1,055.88 + £297.20 = £1,403.56.

Tax at 20% on that figure is £280.71 which they have shown on the correspondence.

Tax has not been deducted on the contractual interest part of the redress.
