Hi all,

I have just stated my claim against HFC.

I stupidly purchased a laptop and got the credit from HFC :o and paid it off...:D

Anyway - found the old account number and rung them and asked them for a statement on 28/9/06. By the 4/10/06 the statement was with me.... no £10 charge either.

Went through and highlighted all charges and it came to £105.00 PLUS £10.85 overpayment on the account !!:) So total £115.85 - thank you.

I have sent off 1st letter on 5th October. Just waiting now.

have you tried to phone them I did and they gave me my £696.00 without having to go to court and I know a few others have tried this method and it worked I don't know who is dealing with your complaint if it is a man called James Ball just phone him this will probably be quicker than going through mcol

hi, james ball is dealing with mine, but not sure whether to accept or decline offer of £125.00 claiming £250.00? As i dont have the funds to file through mcol so thought it was best to accept, thought about ringing him but was not sure what to say? and help would be good

Hi Buttons. Any reply from your LBA yet. The timeframe should be up by now. Try calling them and ask for whoever is dealing with your claim. In my experience (and Seashells it seems) they are usualy quite quick in replying.

As for pebbles do as Seashell says and ring James Ball, his direct number should be on your offer letter. All I said to him i was i wasnt happy with the partial refund and he straight away offered to speak with his manager. 2 days later i had the offer for the full ammount. Hes a very helpfull guy and in my experience is nothing like some of the others from other institutions.

Well done buttons. I take it the offer came after a phone call to James Ball. How did the call go. It seems to have given you confidence with you giving them a deadline to send the refund.

If only all the institutions acted this way.
