I'm wondering if anyone could offer any advice. We took a loan out with wfs in 2002 for 10k (total repayable £34k) 10 year term biggest mistake of our lives! Thought our last payment should've been this month but found out we still owe 8k how can that be???? Can't find the original contract we signed with them! Are we within our rights just to cancel the direct debit and stop paying them?

 

Any advice would be so appreciated!

We have missed 4 payments in total but we upped our monthly payment from £275 to £300 a month a couple of years ago to cover this.

 

All of a sudden out of the blue a month ago we got a letter from them saying from 2008 they had to by law send us a statement that is the first statement we have EVER received! Coincidence that we have finished paying?

 

We have no idea what to do 34k paid for a 10k loan is surely enough!!!

Time for a Subject Access Request (SAR) to Welcome. Template for SAR is in the CAG library, the link to which is at the top of every CAG page in green. Cost is £10 and they will have 40 days to comply. They should send you everything they hold on you.

 

Make sure you add a line to the SAR that it is to include copies of all and any agreements you have ever had with them.

convert the image to pdf format.

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files
