The Bus Lane Enforcement Camera Handbook published by the Home Office.

This states as an “operational requirement” in item 5.1.2 that:

“Every image of the offence shall show, in addition to the offending vehicle, in the order given: the date in days, month, and year, the time in hours, minutes, and seconds, the day of the week, location and frame count from the beginning of the recording. The data shall be imprinted on the image or included in the violation record at the time the offence is recorded.”

Yes, PATAS reason 3 is applicable as is reason 4 on the rear or the notice as no breach was comitted as the signage is incorrect. The taper, the arrows, and the signs on the posts as per the photographs.

That is one scary representation! Just for good measure, why not chuck in that, accortding to PATAS website, their PCN does not include ground 4 i.e. Police are taking action which, in your view, invalidates the PCN.

I could do that but lets see where this goes. I think there is enough in there at the moment that is factual. Plus, if it goes to appeal, then this may be a trump carc in which to beat them with.

I understand the tactic but the more you throw at them now, the more they have to reply. I believe their Enforcement Notices are similarly flawed.

Re the Harrow case, do you mean correct orientation or incorrect?

It is a moot point, however, as to whether the legislation states this must appear on an Enforcement Notice, yet alone a PCN! Would be worthwile checking their website for any further errors?
