No reply

I have sent a letter to Halifax 2 weeks ago, giving them 14 days to reply. I have not recieved any reply what so ever yet. I'm planning on giving them a few extra days, after that what should be done ? A final letter or start court proceedings ?

It is for your to set the timetable, however I would advise that you have a look at the FAQ's:

In the same section you will also find a step-by-step guide which will help you through the process. The most important thing to do though, is to spend time looking through the forum at the experiences of others.

 

It is advisable to spend at least two days doing this - I understand that you are in a hurry to get your money back - but time spent now in learning and understanding the process will benefit you later. It could also save you from making costly mistakes.

Why give them the extra days? If they meant to refund you , don't you think they would have done so by now?

 

You set a deadline, stick to it. The more leeway you give them, the more likely they are to mess you around, hoping you'll give up.

I had exactly the same problem in the same time frame, look at my post. (i would put a link to it but im not entirely sure how) i emailed them just now and put a read receipt on it so that they cant say they havent read it this time. I have given them a further 7 days and then im taking them to court.
