Anyone heard of these? I knew my SAR to Cap one would ruffle some feathers (I'm convinced its them). The pestering calls have started (and firmly ignored)

Having just about been able to understand the 901 message- it led me here. It amused me to see this on there collections page - considering how evil there calls can be:

NCO provides a customized, customer service approach that delivers results.

Although companies understand the importance of contacting customers early in the delinquency cycle, some do not have the resources necessary to sustain consistent and cost-effective outbound telephone campaigns. NCO provides a customized, customer service approach to contact customers and remind them of their obligation to pay their account.

NCO typically makes reminder calls in the client's name to recently past due customers and courtesy collection calls to more seriously delinquent customers. NCO leaves a respectful message on answering machines/voice mails if telephone contact attempts are unsuccessful after the second day.

NCO's first party outbound calling campaigns have proven benefits including:

  • Calls deliver more than double the response of a written notice
  • Calls generate payments five to eight days faster than a written notice
  • Calls generate a higher percentage of payments than written notices
  • 70 to 85 percent of customers contacted pay or make arrangements
  • Reduce operating expenses

 And my right to a family life?.

Good job I never pick up my phone unless I know who it is.

Your account is in dispute therefore NCO cannot pursue you at this time. Advise them that section 13.6 of the Banking Code clearly states that you may only pass details of my debts to the credit reference agencies if the debts are not in dispute
