Not sure if this is in the right section but here we go.

Basically i was looking for a loan online, in the end of hours looking decided to take the safe option and try to get a loan with my bank, so i completed the application form online the next day i was contacted by a guy called Robin, from Leads Valley saying he was on the Lloyds TSB loans listing, and that my loan application for £1500 has been accepted and would need to pay a fee of £50 and the money would be in my account in 2-3 days it has now been 3 days so i checked my bank account this morning and nothing was in there so i decided to ring Leads Valley when i tried to ring them all i got was the answering machine i have left several voice mail messages and have been ringing all day so this morning i decided to look Leads Valley up on Google and found ALOT of complaints saying they was a fraud company, so we went to the bank after alot of thought and upset and tried to get the £50 reimbursed so they give us the Lloyds TSB Fruad line to ring, which we did and to our surprise we got told they wasn't a fraudulent company and that they was legitimate i called them 3 times and got a different phone number for this Leads Valley company and they was all wrong, would of rang them a fourth time but run out of credit on my mobile. :-x Also put money down(£150) to hold a flat i liked which the loan was going towards, so i could of lost £200 in total. Has anyone come across Leads Valley tried or even had a loan with them or any suggestions on what i should do. Any help appreciated.

Hi

It appears Leads Valley have nothing to do with Lloyds. Your details were probably picked up from when you went online.

This type of behaviour has been seen before where they take the fee and don't actually provide the loan. As it is, Leads Valley DON'T give loans, they only provide a broker service.

You have the right to a refund less £5 brokerage fee.

You will need to

a) write to:

Refunds department

Leads Valley

Suite 380

5 High St.

Maidenhead

Berkshire

SL6 1JN

Send this letter by recorded delivery.

b) Report them to Trading Standards via Consumerdirect

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor

We called Lloyds bank yesterday and Lloyds themselves said that they are a legit company but then ended up giving us 3 different numbers for Leads Valley which was all wrong, i know for a fact there a [problem] but i dont understand why Lloyds has them listed...

EDIT: Also that UK address i doubt is even real, we've tried ringing that office all day and you almost immediately get voice mail, we called the police yesterday which give us a refference number to take into my bank to force them to investigate it and to also call Berkshire police.

Also applied for another loan on there website with another name and email and waiting for them to just ring me now, because this is the only way i can think to get hold of them.

If you have a speaker phone and the record function on a mobile, please record them. You don't have to tell them. You won't be able to use the recording but you can make a transcript of it

Before FLM loans will give anything, they require a guarantor who is a homeowner and has good credit. Good luck with that one :|

But why are they now texting me? i didn't even apply for a loan with them and i've paid Leads Valley 50.00 to give me a loan, i can easily get a garantor but is this another [problem]/con?
