Hi Guys

Hope somebody can help me here my daughter has got herself in trouble with 3 payday loan companies and her bank.....she has had a few personnal problems recently and sadly came to me a little late in the day but now i do know i have manged to help her with her bank which is lloyds she went £173.06 overdrawn because one of these companies went for payment when it was not there so i have arranged with the bank that he pay £80 per month for 4 months the £80 includes £5 management fee and £5 interest i know it seems a little steep but she needs her bank account for her wages .......now the loan companies she owes wonga the most some £440.00 she also owes payday uk some £333 she has been deferring that loan every month since she had it each month paying £62.50 and carrying it over to next month not sure how it works also quickquid she borrowed £100 but i am not sure of the interest on that one she gets paid tomorrow and she told me yesterday :-/ i asked the ban k could they block these companies from trying to collect from her debit card but they said not without blocking the card completely which means she would not be able to access her wages because she does not have the right id to go into the bank and get a withdrawal she has no photo id should i ring these companies or get her to? explain her situation? are they likely to make a arrangement with her and agree not to attempt to take from her debit card? thanks guys sorry for all the questions

Unfortunatly even if they agree to not deduct from her card some may still, The only way to ensure they dont is to report the card lost/stolen.

After that she should call them each individually once and try to set up a payment plan for what she can afford. If they dont play ball on the phone email them and advise you want to keep it all in writing.

Quick Quid will do it over 3 months, Wonga are usually not bad dont know about payday uk though.

If any payment plan is excepted it would be advisable to pay by standing order as they cant be trusted with your bank details.

Email them and request payment plans for a period of time your daughter can afford. Iv had loans with both Wonga and payday uk plus 5 others and just couldn't cope. So I decided to default them all and pay what I can afford, nearly gone now. Those two lenders I believe to be the easier ones to deal with. Hope this helps

Hi Guys

Thank you both for your replies i am worried for her what is going to happen tomorrow when her wages hit the account she doesnt know whether any of them are due to go for the money so its just a case of waiting and seeing if they dont then we have a full 4 weeks to cancel her card and get another although the bank said it would only be a cash card they can not issue a debit card while the account is in collection i know she is sily but i feel really sorry for her :-(

For email details just go to there websites to get them..

As for not knowing witch ones are due to collect, Payday loans are taken out to be repayed on your next payday. So unless she has rolled any over them they will all try to collect the full amounts.

Hi ,

You could try to email the following at wonga i found him to be v helpful

Payday uk seem to only let you go into a payment plan once you default , i would advise that your daughter cancels her bank card before her wages are paid into the account as these companys are likely to try for the money ... When setting up payment plans ask for the companys bank details and never give yours / hers or card numbers

Hi. [email protected], that's the big cheese there I emailed and got a speedy response with a payment plan.

Also I can assure you now they WILL take your daughters if her payday is tomorrow. Iv bin here before, I had to cancel because I needed my wages went into the bank on p.day confirmed alot of security questions over the counter and got the cash I needed. My bank is (Hsbc) hope this helps.

Plus if you are worried about not being able to have access to her wages, you could report the card lost and when you go into the bank bring the card with you and explain the situation.

Or if she has online or telephone banking just transferr the money to your account it generally is a same day process these days anyway (but check first)

Hi guys

Thanks for all the replies i have just managed to get into my daughters wonga account as her mother i know the basic security questions they ask she took the loan out on 1st may and the due date was 6th june so i really dont know what she did she must not have given them her true pay date she does get confused sometimes she gets paid the last friday of every month so when she has a 5 week month she gets confused as to when her next payday is so i dont think they are going to go in her account tomorrow what do you guys think? thanks again

you should email them pretending to be her and find out the due dates. QQuid has a online chat facility what you can use.

Obviously you are reluctant to just cancel the card so try the email thing. They do sometimes take time to email back so it may be worth calling them pretending to be her. Withold your number though.

So if her due date is 6th June she's already defaulted. If that was the due date have they started collection cr@p? Phone calls and all that? I know that Wonga will continually attack that account on that date and pretty much every day after until a payment or agreement is made. My friend was contacted by the fraud department at his bank because they were trying to take all sorts of sums at very odd times in the morning. Just to be safe CANCEL that card go into the bank with it like paxon said, say it was mistake or something, go through all your security and don't leave until you get your money.

one down 2 to go.

quick quid will agree to a 3 month (4 max) plan you can use there live chat section on there website.

But for a loan of £100 the repayment would be £125 it may be worth just paying that (only if you can though)

As for payday uk i have no dealings with them soo i will leave that to some one else.

Good luck.
