Hello everyone.

My boyfriend and I are hoping to buy a house together soon but I have a default on my credit report from Sainsbury's bank. I settled the account November 2005 so the default is still having a negative impact on my credit report and I'm worried we'll have to get a mortgage with a really high interest rate.

Do you think I might have a chance of getting this default removed if I write to Sainsbury's bank? Any suggestions would be gratefully received!!

:)

I don't think that you have a snowflakes chance in helll.

These people are merciless, the CRA's don't care and they pass the buck and the whole system is disproportionate, unregulated and out of control.

The only thing you can do is to make sure that the entry is marked as settled and then wait it out.

Sorry.
