I received an aggressive letter today from Good Energy telling me there's an overdue amount of 246 when they supplied my house from March until November in 2005!

As far as I was aware the bill was settled and I heard nothing more from them, having moved out of that property in August 2006 redirecting my mail for 3 months and never hearing from them again.

The Consumer Focus website advises that members of the Energy Retail Association can only backbill for a year, but Good Energy isn't part of the ERA.

Does anybody please have some advice?

A&L full settlement May 2006.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi ebod,

You could do with sending a SAR to this outfit.

There is a template letter you can use here :-

http://www.consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/48-bank-templates/110--data-protection-act-1998-subject-access-request-

It was written for banks so you will need to change parts of it to suit your own case. If you like, post yours on here and DX or myself will cast an eye over it.

Hope this helps,

Lex
