as i have been in contact with these regarding the debt welcome sold them..

They are a bit worried that i still have all paperwork from when i sent copies to welcome

outlining what i paid out to repair car and the faults with the paperwork

i have now told them i am looking to claim that money back and sue for harassment and maybe a bit more the young girl i am in contact with she is asking why i would do that to mkrr who have just sent 1 letter out(statement of account)

and i told her that they now own the debt so they are the ones in the firing line

and welcome know they have cocked up

as they have already told me they have this paperwork but yesterday they said they never

and when i rang the head office they also have records of phone calls from me going back to 2006 asking for there help to have the car sorted and repaired WHOOPS WELCOME

I had a letter from Welscum, saying they had passed a DISPUTED account to MKDP. However they hadn't got my written consent, which is required under OFT Debt Collection Guidance (2006). Passing the matter to C.A.B to get their opinion.

MDKP according to their own staff are a new company!! set up to deal with welcome? therefore surely underneath it all not really that new!

I reading these forums and you are all slagging off Welcome Finance. The reason you are all screwing is that YOU are so rubbish in saving money and have the worst credit rating. If you paid your debts in the first place you would be able to get credit elsewhere. I work for Cattles and we refer to you lot as scutters, with a live today-pay tomorrow attitude.

For your info Cattles which is Welcome Finance and is winding up. This means only one thing Accounts that ARE paying - These debt will be sold onto decent banks for collection. Accounts that DONT pay or are in arrears will be passed onto to debt collection agencies

This bit I will look forward to as you will get more hastle and greef from them. But I will put my wages on it, most of you cop outs will go to debt managment agencies or CAB just like the advert between Trisha tells you too.

 

 

PMSL, they really have no idea just what you are talking about, the assumption that we all used welcome because we did not pay our bills shows how ignorant you are. In our case we used them after a period of unemployment, not a case of wont pay but couldnt pay accounts from the small unemployment benefit, prior to this we never had debt.

 

I stopped paying welcome after I realised their blackmail at an unwarranted gap insurance but at the time a car was needed to take a new job and get back on track, and thats what they prayed on.

 

As for watching Tricia? haha I think they are more likely to see that than me as they may well end up unemployed out of a job and falling victim to the same problems as others on here, but as for me watching it? hmmm I dont think so, a few years on and our lives are very different , really should take their incorrect judgements else where!

We told them to take off the unwarranted gap insurance and charges and we would settle in full straight away, also pointing out we have ALL paperwork to which they concured they have non so can not take further action, however 4 weeks on and no contact from them except statement of account, dont think they know what to do but theres my very resonable offer, They even defalted the account in 2009, yet I have notice dated 2006 so hmmm.

Odd company though, I mean after admitting they have no paperwork and theres nothing they can do to enforce it youd think they would just take the gap insurance and charges off and get over £1000 instantly, I am left scratching my head as to why they wouldnt do so, however despite the fact we pay all our accounts I wont be contacting them again, as for getting more hassle as the welscum worker said, it takes 2 mins to delete any messages and set light to letters, hardly hassle now is it?

 

must cost them more in stamps/phone bills eventually.

You give up on what exactly? That no-one has answered a question you haven't asked (as far as I can see) on this thread?

 

However I do notice an inconsistency in what you are saying. You keep saying your debt is settled. Yet in your last post you say that on your agreement it is annotated as "not collectable". Have you actually ever agreed with Welcome a full and final settlement for the debt? Do you have their letter agreeing to that, or a write-off of the debt?

If you read the thread the debt was settled by welcome

i got a copy of agreement and it clearly says no collectable

meaning they cant actually claim the debt after they lifted order

and also the mis-sold ppi

Personally I can't see any lack of fighting spirit!!? If that were the case, there'd be no threads and no replies. Everyone on here is regularly appalled by the behaviour of this abominable company and do all they can to help others.

I do agree that when people get to a crucial stage the advice from some members does seem to peter out. I find this very unfair, it happened to me too. I wanted to take on welcome and thought I was fully supported, but when it came down to it I found some members to not be as good as their word

 

This is why I decided to research my case myself so I couldn't be let down by anybody, but I did this by reading other peoples' threads and receiving lots of constructive opinions from other members as well as my best pal, Google! It's the best way forward

 

There are countless people on here willing to share their knowledge and fighting spirit, myself included.

 

"Knowing your stuff" is not exclusive to one or two members. We are all learning everyday and as long as we keep on sharing what we learn Welcome will find it increasingly difficult to continue their deceitful ways and get away with it!

 

A massive thank you to all those who have been a consistent support to me and others. Keep up the good work and we'll continue paying it forward

I believe the `Fighting Spirit` is Still about!!! All the information needed is somewhere On CAG, you just need to look to find it!!! Of course it is then that opinion of `Some one Who Knows Their Stuff`/ Expert is needed, to show the best way to utilise what you have discovered through that research!!!

 

We need to be mindful that most of the `Experts` started in the very same position of knowing absolutely *UCK ALL! They where at one time in Exactly the same position as Us. Instead of Relying on others they have Done their Research and Enabled themselves to Deal with their Problems. And then realise that the Knowledge they have can Help others.

 

There are also a lot of people who have Gained Enough Knowledge to Help Others and give Limited Advice, who might be looked on as `Experts` by (for want of a better word) `Newbies`, but they Consider Themselves far from the `Expert` level, and can not in all honesty Give Advice they do not know enough about.

 

I for one can only Give from My Own Experiences and what I have learned in my many wanders around CAG, but I would be really Scared of giving advice that was incorrect or mis interpreted, and which eventually led to some thing going terribly wrong !!!

 

What is Important is to Remember is that some of these `Experts` have and Do put in a Lot of Time for Others when they still have Their Own Ongoing Battles, and I am Certain they believe things are Under Control, before they Commit the Help they can give to another another person or cause, at a certain time.

 

In my opinion what can be lacking is Communication between the `Experts` and us `Lesser Mortals`. It may be crucial for someone to know If and When they can expect there to be some Input from a Cagger they consider to be `Expert`!

 

That is not to say they are meant to `Report In`, No one could expect that, but it would be Very Helpful for someone who finds themselves at `Crunch Point` Or Quite Rapidly Approaching a Situation that needs `Specialist Knowledge` Or some Quick Sound Advice from an `Expert`, to know if `Their Expert` is likely to be available at some point, or if they are indeed on much needed and well earned Holidays or if they are Ill.

 

I would say that We Do Actually Worry about Our Fellow Caggers enough to want to know their Status. People would then have no reason or need to keep `Bumping` every 5 Minutes in the hope that their `Expert` will appear with some One Touch, Cure All, Super Answer to their problem,and they would be much more inclined to `Help Themselves` Or to Even listen to the Advice Some one else may be in a position to give.

 

Lack of Communication can cause all sorts of Rumours and Speculation which in turn can effect Morale and can lead to people making Snap Decisions that could wait a while longer, until `Expert` help is available.

 

Communication makes people aware of a situation and enables them to plan and deal with the situation better. I think if people are made aware some how that the `Expert` can or can not make themselves available, may be Ill, on Holiday, Or Otherwise engaged, would also lead to people taking a Much more Pro Active Route to dealing with their problems and Actually Doing some of their own research and may be not just Dissing otherwise Strong Sound advice from some of the lesser known Caggers who do a lot of hard work here in order to help others, therefore lessening the load on the `Experts`. this would also lead to a more`In Depth Data Base` of Knowledge between Caggers!!!
