Hello, everyone -

Just had one of those once-in-a-lifetime offer letters from a DCA called Apex - my partner is paying them token payments - is it worth CCAing them?

Many thanks in advance

Thank you Hungry Bear and Cobra.

What type of account is it, when was it opened and approx how much is outstanding?

Lloyds TSB card. £2,829 outstanding - Apex are offering a Once In A Lifetime Special discount if my partner pays off the debt in three installments (which he can't do, he's retired on med grounds so can't work). But... They won't say how big a discount unless we call to discuss!! Which ain't gonna happen.

Partner has been paying token payments on this account since his heart attack 2-1/2 years ago. Went silent for 3-4 months and then in June or July Apex turned up saying the debt was 'assigned' to them.

Many thanks for any advice given...
