HI everyone

Im new here so if im in teh wrong forum I apologise, I had my insurance policy cancelled by swinton as I missed a payment, I then requested that I woudl like them to spread the missed payment over the rest of them, and then I missed that payment as my partenr lost his job and I didnt have funds to pay, they werent interest and send out the cancellation, since then my partner is working and we have a new policy, I need to provide proof of no claims in writing they have verbal confirmation from swinton but need written incase of an accident.

I called swinton and they refused to send it out until the balance is paid even though I am paying monthly installments back.

Can I / Will I be able to get my NCD in writting my requesting all the information they have on file for me under the data protection act 1998?

Can someone help?

Thanks

Sam forumbox_top_left.gifforumbox_top_tile.gifforumbox_top_right.gifforumbox_left_tile.gifAre you letting your bank keep your money Are you giving away thousands of pounds??

Many people aren't claiming all of the money they are entitled to when they make their bank charges claims.

You have been forced to pay unfair bank charges.

Have you forgotten that your bank has charged you inteest on those charges?

If you are overdrawn and the bank owes you charges - then your overdraft is made up of charges - money which you bank owes you.

Yet you are paying interest to the bank - on your own money!!! - a nice little earner for your bank.

You might even double the size of your claim.

Insurance companys can with hold ncd until an o/s balance is paid, however, you can request a letter to confirm when your policy started & finished and if there were any claims made. You will then have to get the NCD prior to swinton. This will then show your current insurers that has been no break in cover etc.
