Hi,

I posted a couple of months ago - with the site administrators' permission - an appeal for people to take part in a documentary about repossession.

The doc, presented by Jackie Bird, is airing this Wednesday April 8th on BBC One Scotland at 10.45pm.

It might be of interest to people on this forum.

Here's the blurb...

Jackie Bird investigates the rising tide of repossessions across Scotland, and finds out how Scottish homeowners could be more vulnerable than those living over the border.

She discovers how affluent Scots are getting caught up in the storm, and asks whether Scotland made a mistake when it failed to adopt crucial legislation which is now offering more protection to struggling homeowners in the rest of Great Britain.

Also, she investigates how government promises that lenders should be sympathetic are not reaching the banks and building societies that hold our mortgages. BBC Scotland uncovers how, despite these assurances, lenders are often far from sympathetic if you get into trouble with your mortgage, and will move quickly to repossess your home.

Many thanks,

Emma
