phone calls looking for member of my family

i had a phone call yesterday and one today looking for a family member who no longer lives with me they moved out about 5/6 yrs ago i assume it is for an unpaid loan

this persons surname is different from mine so can they do credit check at my address

i have had a look at the truecall phone thing before i buy one(just in case this gets out of hand) do i have to buy the thing that records calls also i do want to record the calls

i didn't think to write down the phone number from yesterday silly me thought that when i told them i had no contact with this person they would believe me and that would be an end to it

 

any idea who this phone number is 08703330159

This number is for a company called Interum Justica.. They are a debt collection company who amoungst other things call and collect on behalf of Ebay and Paypal.. I think the call centre is based in Liverpool..

i think its a bank loan

its my credit rating I'm worried about just in case they do a search at my address

are they allowed to do a search at my address for this person they are not regesterd here and have a different name to me

No they are not allowed to do that, although sometimes an individual may be linked to more than one address.

 

When someone does a credit search it is for the person not the address. An address cannot be 'blacklisted'.
