I smile when I see one of your posts because I have a good idea of what to expect, the one I have just read - that I think went over someones' head ended 'Am I now barred?'

Lol

Bring on the sarcasm, some think it is the lowest form of wit, I think you have to be damned clever to carry it off.

trouble is, there is a difference between satire and downright miserablness

Yes, I agree.

There is also a difference between having a chortle at the right time and other times being reserved due to sensitive situations.

Maybe you should have displayed that on the NI thread started by gyzmo?

Have you got a good un about people in debt or losing their homes?

Please bear in mind that no two people are alike.

Everyone's sense of humour is different. I laugh at things that I find funny, not what other people tell me is funny. I think that you find that is true for everyone.

That said, can we keep personal remarks about other uses to ourselves, please.

Anything that contravenes the forum rules will be moderated.

Live and let live.

It would be nice to think peeps are only joshing hilary, but sometimes people can take things to heart more than you think.

A joke is one thing, but sometimes if people are going through a difficult time they can be more sensitive than usual. I agree though, that if you can't take it, you shouldn't dish it out.

Just treat people the way you'd wish to be treated yourself. I'm not directing that at you personally by the way.

Who are you?

The thought police or something? If you have so much spare time on your hands why don't you do something more productive like voluntary work in your community rather than nit picking in cyber land.

BTW, we are all called 'dear' in the bear garden, why don't read the sub text of the title of the forum?

Or are you going to now whinge about that to the moderators?

Gilbert, I'd just responded to Hilary, probably as you posted, so hope the matter can be resolved. Any more posts in that vein will be moderated.
