Hi Kandas,

 

We're seeing lots of threads started about gym m/ship probs re cancelling. Do you want to give us any background about this.

 

Don't know of any names but, if it's a complaint, send your letter to the HO and mark it CUSTOMER COMPLAINT or similar.

Hi

 

I am trying to cancel my 12 month rolling contract virgin active membership. I used 5 months but froze it because I fell pregnant. I had a high risk pregnancy and then after I gave birth my gynecologist told me not to train for 6 months. Well within those 6 months I have moved home and their is not a virgin gym near me.

 

I have asked to cancel but because I have 7 months remaining they are prepare to buy me out at 50%. Which means I have to pay £150. I am clearly not happy and want to write to someone higher in HO.

 

Some help would be grateful.

Hi Kandas,

 

In your circumstances, I think your idea to approach HO is good. I think you stand a better chance with this using an informal approach initially.

 

Try calling them to get a name you can use - I found nowt on their website.

 

Did you sign a contract and do you have a copy of it.
