Hi All.

I have read on some other threads that some people have been using email rather than sending recorded delivery and wanted to know about their response times from Natwest.

I sent my original statement request by letter and then followed that up by sending my preliminary by both email and letter. The email prelim was made up of the standard letter template and also contained my annoyance and request that further charges (which was added at the end of june and also now july) to be removed or refunded.

My next step is also to send them my letter before action via email as i do not have a printer and this is therefore slowing down my case against them.

So therefore wondered how people were getting on who were emailing them.

Also, would appreciate any advice that anyone could give me.

Cheers

Hi, I have sent all my letters to natwest by recorded delivery, i prefer it as you have the reciept with the date sent so they can't deny they recieved it, however my son is claiming his charges back from the halifax and had done it all via email, all their replies have been in written format through the post and he has allready had 2 offers of a partial refund so i think whichever you feel more is best for your peace of mind.

Hope this helps

If you decide to send letters through the post, I would suggesting Royal Mail "Special Delivery". This way you are guarenteed a signature/proof of receipt. Your letter is kept seperate from normal mail.

It will cost you £4.10.

Recorded Delivery is cheaper but is treated as normal mail and you are not guarenteed proof of delivery.

I hope this helps
