has anyone dealt with them before?

 

they are trying to serve an attachment order on my goods and say they will break my locks to get in!

 

Can they do this in Scotland?

 

this order was made in an English court so is it Legal in Scotland?

Hi Council Tax,

 

What ot do is make a repayment arrangement with the sheriffs officer. Go into the local office. Produce an income and expenditure form and also a repayment proposal. They will accept a repayment arrangement. With regards to attachment order, you will find it is called a poinding, they do an attachment order on your earnings. You may also find them doing a "round robin" which means they serve papers on the major banks who will freeze all monies in your account at that time, they tend to do that on the last friday of the month. What that will do is put whatever monies are in your account into a suspense account which neither you or the sheriffs can access. They can only access it if you sign a form to that effect, you can only access it if they lift the order.
