They may do and it's advisable to open a parachute a/c with another bank.

 

Before you start please have a thorough read of the FAQs (there's a Step by Step guide here too). You may want to print these out to refer to later

 

Then look at other threads in your bank's forum, so as you know what you can expect to happen

 

You need to spend 2 or 3 days gradually getting your head round everything.

 

There's a lot to take in, but it's time well spent and will ensure that you succeed in your claim without problems

 

This is a self-help forum and you must be prepared to put in time and effort. It is your claim, your money and you cannot expect others to do all the work for you.

 

When you feel confident that you understand the process and the various stages involved, start a new thread in your bank's forum and post your progress and any questions there and you'll get plenty of help

Hi,

 

My claim is with HSBC for £800. I sent the letter asking for my charges back and received a letter offering me £680. I will accept it and persue the rest. They haven't threatened to close my account and the whole procedure although a little time consuming was not as scary as you might think.

this is my first time on this forum and thanks to all who replied to my query.

 

I understand the process and I am not scared of reclaiming my bank charges, in fact i relish it...i am just really worried that they will close down my account as I do not think I will be able to open another bank account based upon my bad credit rating .

Please start a new thread in your bank's forum and post your progress and any questions there and you'll get plenty of help

please read all "Q&A" carefully they are linked at the base of this post.

Also read the " please read this " link.

once you have done this click the link " list of banks"

look in here and find the designated banks that you will be starting a case against.

 

You then make your 1 and only personnel thread and always update in that thread with out opening another.

then all your information regarding that account can be seen in one picture and the best advice can be given.
