Can someone please explain what an ajournment order is? One has been granted in relation to Gmac originally applying for a repossession order. they agreed that if I paid X amount the hearing would be cancelled but now I am told that they have an adjournment order.

Hi, they have probably done that to give them time to check you have made the payment you said you would. When they told you the hearing would be cancelled they probably didn't cancel it just turned up and asked for an adjournment so they can reinstate proceedings if you don't make the payment.

Kind Regards
