  1. Thank you. I thought it was 6 years? But don't believe all you read on Google I suppose
  2. Good afternoon, Looking for advice. MARS Capital bought our Kensington mortgage earlier this year. We had a possession order placed on the property on 17th September 2017. Arrears on the mortgage were cleared at that time but over the years for various reasons they have been incurring again. However we have maintained the full monthly payments for at least 2 years so the arrears of £3200 are historic and made up of a lot of admin/ interest and late fees We have recently contacted Mars after threats of repossession and have started paying 150 towards the arrears. Mortgage rate is 12% and payments have doubled in the last year making large payments towards arrears impossible due to cost of living crisis. Due to the constant threats and worries we sold the family car and on Monday obtained a figure of the balance of the arrears which was paid in full over the phone. However today we received a mortgage statement dated 7th Sept before the balance was cleared, with mortgage status as 'eviction date being arranged', my question is, as we have paid the arrears would the eviction still go ahead? Also is there a time limit on when the original possession order was granted.. it will be six years on this Sunday and if it is not enforced by then, do they have to reapply to the court? Sorry for the long post.
  3. New to this group. Earlier this year Mars capital bought our mortgage from Kensington, we accrued a lot of late payment and admin fees. A simple question to start, is it possible to reclaim these fees from Kensington? Many thanks in advance.
