car in garage help!

wonder if any one could help

 

i have a so called friend,

 

i have let him store a car in my garage and he agreed to pay me to store it in there, now the problem is i cant get hold of the guy,

 

i only had an email addy and mobile number, and only the area that he lives in

 

i have been unable to get in contact with him since the start of the year and he put the car in my garage start of december

 

the idea was for him to store it in my garage while it would be fixed by xmas and then moved out.

 

also to add to it the guy owes me money for parts he has fitted to the car that he has not paid for

 

where do i stand on getting the car moved?

Is there any written storage agreement?

 

Can you prove that you have attempted to contact him on various occasions?

 

Do you have recipts for these parts?

 

What date was the agreement made?

 

When was your last contact with him?

Hi, after 6 weeks you should inform the police, after (i believe) another 6 weeks (check with your local police office), you can file a form (supplied by the police) to the DVLA, and transfer the vehicle into your name, you are then legally able to change the locks, and sell the vehicle to reclaim the storage costs.

The original verbal contract has been broken by your mate, you are now by law aloud to charge the local average rate for storage if you wish, or scrap the vehicle to free up your garage space.
