Hello everyone and thanks for this wonderful forum. I've just found you and it's a truly wondrous site.

Right I've been reading this site for about the last three hours and to be honest my head is spinning with all the info and advice, but I'd like some of my own so I know I'm going about this the right way.

Here's the problem:

Received a letter form Thames Credit Limited dated 21/11/07,claiming I owe £911.97 for a debt "Agreement Number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,First National Tricity Finance".

Now I reckon that this must fall into the statute barred capacity as (as my user name suggests icon10.gif )due to burning the candle at both ends in my younger days my credit rating has been very poor for about 8 years!!

Also, due to this my memory isn't what it used to be so I can't even remember what I purchased with First National Tricity Finance!!

But,obviously if I do have to pay it,I'm willing to.

So I need advice as to how to go about sorting this.

Do I ask for a CCA or send the Statute Barred letter template on here?

Also,if I do either of these will I lose the right to pay by instalments if I do have to pay the debt?

And another thing, the only address they list is a P.O.Box so how does that work when sending letters special delivery(signed for)??

All and any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.icon14.gif

Send the statute barred letter initially. Remember not to sign letters to DCA's.

No.

You can either send it to the PO Box number or their registered address which is

Address:

WELLS HOUSE

15-17 ELMFIELD ROAD

BROMLEY

KENT

BR1 1LT

HAVE YOU BEEN TREATED UNFAIRLY BY CREDITORS OR DCA's?

BEWARE OF CLAIMS MANAGEMENT COMPANIES OFFERING TO WRITE OFF YOUR DEBTS.
