I have 2 accounts with Barclays - a business account and a personal account. Each account is held at a different Branch.

I sent off a preliminary letter to each Branch, claiming approx. £1200 from my business account and £3500 from my private account.

Barclays have replied with an offer - (but they have only put the business account details on the top of the letter) - the offer is for £2075.

Should I be cheeky and accept this amount for the business account but still pursue the £3500 for the private account, or should I accept this as part payment etc. etc.

Hi Apple and welcome to the Barclays forum,

Don't start off on the wrong foot here. The error will be spotted in time and you would be legally responsible for accepting an amount to which you know you are not entitled.

I would write back and say "Thank you for your offer, but I will be quite happy with just the £1,200 which I am claiming."

If you want to keep us posted on both claims, can you start another thread for the business a/c so the 2 claims are kept seperate. You've confused Barclays ALREADY. ;)

In theory, your business claim should not be subject to the General Stay of cases as with personal a/c claims.

Good luck with your claims.
