  1. Hi WillR, DO NOT RING THEM, DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM. You are doing everything right, and the only way they know how to respond is to put even more frightners on:mad: Just take time to read our dealings with them, we understand how it feels, but they are full of hot air.
  2. Hi Mich, so good to hear you are getting control back in your life, and you can even laugh at the dca's:lol:. keep all the letters they send, as Cap1 has agreed to settle, the dca is harassing you, and you can report them, don't bother doing Cap1's job. Here's to 2008 Mich, have a good one:p
  3. All the best un1boy, soooo frustrating, here's to 2008, we are all with you:p
  4. Let's hope this is a good sign from the OFT, and that all DCA's will sit up and pay attention. Who would of thought when we first posted here in desperation that we could make a difference:D complain complain complain:p Keep up the good work Babybear, and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours:)
  5. Hi Greendykes, has LTSB actually told you that they are now dealing with the debt? The FO said they may have sold it back, you need to find out for definite if that is the case. I thought you could request your money back via a cheque? And don't we just know the methods they use:mad: to make you tired, angry, sad and confused. Don't let them get to you, it's not personal, and they wont be losing any sleep. Just to cheer you up, they don't seem to use the same DCA twice:)

    Ikea!

Thanks sallysas and bookworm, I can see where you are coming from, so, the estimated interest they are saying for next month, should be the last high one. I think I will write and ask them to close the account, see where that gets me, I've now got available credit, scary:eek:

    Ikea!

Hi all, just received my reduced bill from Ikea, can anyone explain how the interest amount is more when the amount owed is 100+ pounds less:confused: Is this right? are they allowed to charge what ever they like? I was hoping to start reducing the amount owed, with the charges being paid back into the account, even with them still adding interest. Anyone any ideas what I could write to Ikea, please:)

    Ikea!

Hi sallysas, Not expecting to get interest back, just in the hope they stop adding it on, soooooo frustrating:mad: need to write again to see if they will stop adding the interest, and if I can back it up with some legal terminology, as the balance was unlawfully inflated!? any ideas?

    Ikea!

Hi all, acceptance letter in the post for refund of charges:) Any idea's on how to tackle the interest? my thoughts are I have been charged interest on a balance that included the charges, so my balance has been unlawfully (?) boosted. I find it very frustrating that they are the only company still applying interest:mad:
  16. CONGRATULATIONS ICY:) some things take priority!
  17. HSBC have passed me to them as well, totally ignoring the fact that they have not responded to my sar (don't think they know what it is:eek: ) trawling through the paper work now. good luck:)
  18. Hi Mich, why are the company not requesting payment to yourself? I thought the idea of these companies, was they took their cut from the refund you get, not you having to find money to employ them:eek:. If it is the case that refunds have to be placed against the debt, even more reason for you to do it yourself. (I think you have realised this:) ) You can do this on your own Mich, with the help and advice here, and IF any claim gets to court, you can get a Buddy:) .
