  1. One possible way of returning the item, to gain a refund, then buying the same item at the cheaper price, is take it back to the shop you bought it, explain this was for a christmas gift, however the person whom it was for, has got one already, hence the item is not required, it is classed as unwanted gift, and either a credit note or refund will be made, you can then go to another shop with the same company and buy the same item at the cheaper price, this isn't fraud in any form, all shops offer full refunds on unwanted gifts. food for thought, as some1 mentioned above, shops lower prices once xmas is over, anything that you might be thinking of buying, such as ur laptop, with it so close to the sales, it might have been worth waiting that extra couple of days b4 buying... it can save many pounds in the long run. All have a great new year eve.
  2. just going through the same thing with royal mail, items lost in post, thankfully used SD so am confident that insurance will pay out. am out of pocket at mo, what with making refund to buyer and phone calls etc to royal mail.
  3. sorry to read this thread, how did things go with PP reading the thread, it does look like a [problem], at the mo, there all loads on E>BAY , by the way i note you never did give ur feed back to him, so i,m guessing things got sorted?
  4. well done m8y one for the wee people, hope ur son is ok
  5. Think you need to mail Bankthudder, he is most haelpful in such cases, looking at your thread, you do seem to be having no luck getting assistance from readers, hence might mean no-one has taken on sainsburys loan company, i myself work for sainsburys, however not in that area of what you are claiming, mail bankthudder think he best one to ask, since you nearly at your court date. good luck m8y .
  6. Toni25 how did you get on with that capquest problem? would be intrested to know. thanks shywazz
  7. Totally agree!! Dont park in disabled parking slots:sad: , these are in place for a reason, due to the person/persons been disabled, as the old saying goes, You took the disabled parking slot, do you want my disablitity aswell, I THINK NOT , so dont take the slots allocated to assist those in greater need.
  8. Gd for you for keeping cool and getting CQ off your back. i have followed your line of cintact, see thread... Help needed with bank stuff... however it seems CQ have now forgotten me, as had NO contact from them for while now? however i am tempted to contact them again, as i dont want them popping up out the blue in a year or so, and have to start all this again, what you think ? thax
  9. And whom are you to seek THAT I BUTT OUT OF A THREAD? I clearly state that damage has to be proved before any dedutions are made to any holding payment, okay the land lord can hold onto the depoist etc, but again has to prove that the tenant did any damage, otherwise he is just mererly stealing this persons money, if he is a respectable land lord i,m sure that the tenant on taking the flat/house did a manifest of all damages etc and noted any points such as when leaving, and got the tenant to sigh in agreement, as for photograthic pics, this would merely give basis to any claim, if the land lord has prove, then fair enough, however no prove, then any court will throw out, its like me taking you to court for doing damage , even though i know you havnt done it, would you pay up??????? no i think not, no one would, hence why should this tenant pay up, just on the hear say word that he might have made damage, proving such goes along way than just accussing someone. ask your self, would you pay just because someone said you did something???? either the land lord prove he has or the tenant prove he hasnt. it doesnt give the land lord automatic rights to take a slice of the tenants depoist. This site for the record is to give freedom of speech thoughts, as well as advicing on matters/issues that you or i might have experanced in our lifes, to assist other thread/site users, you can not be agressive towards myself or any site user just for giving there opitions on matters/threads. It is for all regardless of what the topic consists off. i gave my thoughts, there is no need to be dispondant towards them or myself.
  10. The person has no legal basis to make dedutions untill has proven any damage ( if any ) was caused by the said tenant. I have been conned out of bonds and depoist by this so called damage [problem].
  11. another so called friend/land lord trying to make a quick buck outta a tenants hard erned cash me thinks, he gave you that money as a bond while he lived in ur flat/house, and surely its your right to give it back, since you making him move, can you prove with photos etc that the tenant did any damage, maybe the cleaner did it and is blaming this person, or maybe you and the tenant have fallen out, and this is your way of getting back at him/her.
  12. soz my thead was Help needed with bank stuff, but with same DCA
  13. hello just read the above started thread, i myself had dealings of the same postion, see thread SHYWAZZ this has gone on for many months now, with me writing to them and me getting letters back, since my supposed debt is well over 6 years ago, i have opted to leave things as they stand, as its up to them to prove i owe the money, i sent a letter seeking the breakdown etc, and got many basic replys, ie account on hold for 28 days, hence 4 times lol they having a laugh really, wasted my time replying to them, so now left well alone, sure they will again write some day in the furture, but till then, stuff em. kept all they letters, to prove what they said, which never happened. they also said the intrest would be frozen untill sorted, yet everytime amount of debt rising with they charges, to begin with i was somewhat upset, but now just cant be bothered with them, seems they send letters out, but once you question what they write to you, they go away. will keep a eye on your thread m8y, and will let you know should i hear from them also. for now dont worry too much, keep anything they do send you, incase you need in future.
  14. Even if your father in law was in the car, with you.. If the DISABLED Badge wasn't clearly on display, then the ticket will be still payable, i,ve seen cases where the badges were up side down, or fallen on the car floor, when getting out, even if you were displaying the badge, and the warden just didnt see it, it would be your word against theres, i would give you this solid advice, PAY the early charge, then fight your case, don't let the cost double, its just throwing your hard earned money to them. you could say your father in law was with you and the badge was in the car, and the warden just missed it, as long as you or he, can produce the badge at there offices, there will cancel the ticket, and you will get the refund. but pay 1st action 2nd, saves more charges. or visit the office with your payment, but explain b4 paying, there might even cancel it they and then, but take the badge with you.
  15. Ello Ello ello just back from our holidays in Gran Canaria, what a wicked fortnight so much to do and so many drinking places to get sozzled. well back home now in the cold british weather, and the heating on full 1st point of call when switching on the com, yep this site, to catch up on peeps things and see if i can assist, looks like folks have been busy gaining there charges back, nice one to all whom have won. as for the above thread, there's nothing to report back, as the said company havn't even wrote while i've been away, so i'll nudge them with a letter of my own in the week, to ask whats happening, think there have closed down, well we can hope hahahaha chat soon and hope to assist soon.
  16. ello all. just a up-date as to this thread, letter received 2day as below? Following our previous correspondence, we are still endeavouring to obtain the required information from National Westminster Bank regarding your account query. We are discussing your case with NWB personally and hope to resolve this matter very soon. Just some thoughts if any1 could enlighten me on ? In some of they letters, they say intrest will be frozen untill the on-going enquirys are complete , yet every time i get a letter from them, their put the amount up? even on the two that i got 2day, secondly, how long do i have to give them, it seems to be taking ages ages to sort, isn't they anything that i could write to them, to speed the process up. as for them keep putting intrest on, well it does make me laugh, as what they putting it on, since i dont owe anything in the 1st place. I was hoping this was all going to be sorted b4 my hols next monday, but hey guess not.

  23. cheques cheques cheques a safe way to send and receive money, as long as you can wait to get ur hands on the wad lol most banks take 3 to 10 working days, for cheques to clear, the bset i know, is the halifax, where a cheque takes three working days, i have two accounts with them, one account takes ten days for a clearance and the other takes just three to clear, as for the person whom gave me the cheques, it comes out of they account within 2 working days, so best to have the money ready and waiting before writing any cheques to anyone, as people can pay extra for fast clearance, at a fee of between £12.00 and £24.00, i'm lucky really as i do all my banking on line now, which shows me instantly of transactions. hope i,ve assisted in some way to your thread. thanks.
