  1. Hi guys Totally believe the 2 threads above and trust me these guys who force a reprossesion are only looking for a quick return and if they dont get it they will then persue you with possible added charges and interest.
  2. Hi dx100uk Interesting reading. A few problems though I contact selllers the origonal sellers as J & J and Midland and General no longer exist. Do I go for the ombidsman route or try Knowle Portfollio and AR UK who are persuing the shortfall after repossesion.Help please.
  3. Thanks dx100uk I will phone them again tommorrow but suspect that they will just say that because its pre 2005 they are unable to assist.
  4. Hi guys Ive recieved a further reply from the insurance brokers which ive attached.Any ideas if there is anything more I can do as J&J and Midland & General no longer trade.
  5. Hi guys I posted a letter to the origonal brokers and got a standard reply from them as per the attachment. I will keep you updated when I get their next reply.
  6. Hi mrjdht Please pick up on what Ell-nn just answered and always leave a paper trail wherever possible as it can improve your case should it come to court.I wish I had access tto this advice 20 years ago.
  7. Hi andrew0101 I've found and learned a valuable lesson that when dealing with these people try to leave a paper trail.I had a vebal offer from a DCA well below what I a have curently repaid them that they later denied (again verbally) making. A good paper trail gives you proof of arrangements, agreements ,offers etc. I no longer accept phone calls from them now and always tell them to correspond with me in writing.
  8. Hi Guys I phoned FSCS and they could not help because the insurance policy was pre 2005 but they suggested I contact the origonal broker.I phoned Bennett & Gould and they said to put my details in writing to them along withh photo copies of the origonal policy docs and they will investigate further so at least the ball is rolling now.
  9. Thanks Caro I've been on line and had a read of the info there and took their contact details and will be phoning them tommorrow. will keep you posted of what they say.
  10. Hi again Guys As J&J and Midland and General no longer exist where should I start making my claim of misselling of the PPI.
  11. Sorry Carlo Will try again this time with the right docs.Think I'vegot it right this time
  12. Hi dx100uk Who do i make the claim against as J&J are no longer in existance. Also if you read the rest of my threads J&J may have been acting as agents for midland and general who are also wound up. The origonal PPI was with Lloyds Insurance effected through Bennet Goulds & partners Ltd. I can upload origonal documentation if required but where do I go next. Also I am begining to doubt what they say I owe on the DCA 's accounts.
  13. Hi Guys Briefly I Had a loan with J&J securities which I took out in 1991. I was told that i would have to take ppi with the loan because I was self employed. While looking for some other documents I have found the origonal insurance documents. Is it possible to still make a claim for the misselling of this policy bearing in mind that J&J are no longer in existence. The ppi was a single payment policy prepaid at the start of the loan an the pemium added to the amount borrowed. What are your views guys?
  14. Hi Caro definetly self employed as i was when I took out the loan.
  15. Hy Caro Ive got the origonal doc of the PPI and it looks like it was pre paid out of the origonal loan. Will yhat help?
  16. Hi Caro I've been on the ICO website and I'm going to send Asset Recoveries UK a letter based on a template there. I'm also going to request further information on the debt amount as some of the details they've sent is very sketchy. Also any suggestions as to make a claim on the missold PPI'
  17. Hi guys I found the reply to my sar request from Sept. Not very forthcoming.
  18. Thanks guys, I will contact Foy and co and see if they have any copies of origonal docs and if not I will put pressure on Asset Recoveries to provide more information.
  19. Thanks Caro. I will adapt the template you put in the earlier thread and also start a claim on the misselling of the ppi.
  20. Thanks Caro I've had a read through the hansard doc and there are so many factors quoted that were similar to my cicumstances at the time of the origonal loan with J&J. Firstly I was self employed and on low earnings and they took a high earnings week as a basis for my income.Secondly the salesman told me that my property was worth more than it actually was so that on paper there was an increased collateral in the property. Also while looking through some old papers I've discovered that I was sold PPI at the time of the loan which I believe was prepaid out of the loan.Whats my chances of claiming misselling of this as we were told that it was a necessity to have this insurance?
  21. Hi Caro I've been trying to open the link you posted on J&J mentioned in parliament but it keeps telling me that the link is not recognised. Also some corrections to my post 47. We were evicted in 1994. Midland and General were incorperated 28 03 1996 and their dissolution date was 19 sept 2000. Still looking for any more info I can find.
  22. Wow thanks guys for your responses. I will try to clarify as much as I can and hopefully give you as much info as I can tommorrow.
  23. Hi Caro, Sorry to take so long to reply but Ive been reviewing my options. I finished work in December on health grounds and I officially retired in March being an official recycled teenager. I do have a limited amount of savings but if I cut into these they would be irrepaceable on my pension. There is equity in my house but having one house repossesed there is absolutely no way I'm going to put another property in the hands of these people. One thing that does have me puzzled though is that in thread 27 I received a copy of one page of a loan application form from a firm called Midland and General Securities Ltd. I've done a bit of research and this firm was incorporated on 28 03 1996 two years after we were evicted on 19 Dec 2000. I never took out a loan with this company and have no knowledge of any dealings with them The loan I took out was with J & J Securities and no mention was ever made of any other company being involved was made to me. Any thoughts on this. The document is incomplete but thats all they sent.
  24. Hi guys Any feedback on the docs I uploaded on July 10th especially Doc 3 and 3b. I am not going to put a voluntary charge on my property as Having lost one property to repossession no robbing debt collection agency is going to get another bite at that cherry. Thanks guys.
  25. Yes from year 2000 to date. Various reasons, one being that at that time that I had a familly of five to house and feed. I had to borrow heavily from familly and friends and was self employed with a struggling business. As my situation improved slightly over the next years I have spent my extra resources on repaying those who helped me out when I needed it.
