  1. Caro, there are many factors that can affect this sort of issue with a laptop's adapter. Have you definitely set the Voltage on the new adapter to 20V? All I did was plug it in. So, did you see if the sales assistant set the device to the correct Voltage? Did he/she even mention anything about this to you?! If so, then try setting it to 19V and try again. How do I set it? Load the product link you posted in #3 and click on 'Download Manuals' on the left of the product information page. Download the 'Quick install manual' at the top of the table shown, which will open a PDF file. There is a round part to the device, wh

  2. What does that mean?????? I think what diskmandave is suggesting is that if you keep parking your car in the same place and ignoring tickets, they may move on (legally or illegally) to clamping or removing your car. From experience on these forums when this happens, the PPC not only keep your car until a release fee is paid, but also until you stump up payment for each and every one of the "outstanding" invoices.

  3. Hello there, You'll need to amend your self-managed DMP to include these Payday loan firms also. When you contact the Payday lenders be sure to instruct them that you remove their 'continuous payment authority' as this should prevent them from having the right to take money directly from a debit card. You may find greater peace of mind by switching your current account to someone new, this is known as having a 'safe' account. We're really gald that you've found our materials useful, if you ever need any further help and support feel free to drop us a line. 4. I went onto Quidco to check if two hotels I had booked during the week had tracked. When I was on I noticed £4 cashback for a "Free eye test" from Optical Express. I was due an eye test back in February, but had been quite busy and never got round to it, and realistically I probably need reading glasses for the new phone I have - so I filled in the details and the called me today to arrange the appointment (the time I picked online was not available). Anyway - they went through all my details, and then in what sounded like a sprint to cover T&Cs they mentioned "Free eye test subject to purchase" - which does not really se

  5. Hi MissSigh, If you know for sure that no one who you know (family or friend) could have made the purchases, you must get the card replaced as your security has been compromised. Even if Barclays Fraud Dep't won't investigate with a view to a refund, they must recognise that the card security may have been compromised.

  7. Hi, The situation is that the debt can now be collected as a deduction from any means tested benefits and state pensions but the amounts are strictly controlled and must not put a person in to hardship. Have you at anytime paid anything off this overpayment? When was the HB stopped and investigated? I ask because these debts become statute barred after 6 years if no payment or written acknoledgment has been made. Debt collection agencies employed by the DWP have no extra rights or authority than they have in chasing any other debt. Ultimately and decision will be made by an official at the DWP. These agencies are s

  12. Hi Right I think we can take a good stab at this. If the copy statements show the rates of interest then work out what the average rate is. If the rate is shown as a monthly rate then work out the average of the monthly rate and pop that rate into this spreadsheet and it will work out the APR based on a monthly rate. MonthlyToAPR.xls You will need the APR to enter into the main spreadsheet which is attached below. If you don't have the rates on the copy statements you are going to have to have a stab at working it out. Add up the total interest you have been charged for the month. Divide it by the total opening balan
