I asked moneybarn to move my payment from the 1st of the month to the 13th of the month.

As a result i was a month in arrears, but paid it off at £20 a week for the last 15 weeks.

Now ive just received an arrears letter for £305.35 which is my monthly payment,

they are trying to charge me 2 months money for moving my payment 12 days forward.

.anyone else had this problem??

advice appreciated.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

IMHO if you have arrears and can see that you are going to in the future?

then VT is a very good idea with MB.

get rid of them..

they are a HORRIBLE COMPANY.

but then so are the whole of this provident group...

you'll have to pay upto the 50% mark immediately [lump sum]

I don't think they'll let you spread it out

they might do

as they never know their left leg from their right you never know

no harm in ringing and asking.

BUT do NOT let them railroad down the voluntary surrender route

that will cost you the FULL 100% sum of the agreement.

if they start waffling on about consent agreement tell 'em no thanks.. too!!

there was ONE case I read sometime back where by the guy was allowed to totally cancel the whole thing and simply hand the car back

but that was in the days when they weren't owned by provident.

since that time they've just gone to pot...
