Hi I called DHD today to progress my bankruptcy and got the news you have posted here. A friend paid them the £1000 fee end of January as I was broke and they told me quick payment would mean quicker action re court dates.

They say they contacted all my creditors ( Bank, credit card companies) and we went through statement of affairs. I was waiting for a court date and the return of £700. I have no idea whether they made contact with creditors or were trying to arrange a court date. Another company is fileding their calls and I was told no information would be made available for 4-6 weeks.

I guess I have lost my friends £1000 ( half of which I have since paid back) and am nowhere nearer Bankruptcy and my creditors have piled on charges since, whilst I thought this was being handled. Expensive lesson huh? What now? Start the whole process myself from scratch? Any advice appreciated. Paul.

Have you contacted National Debtline - I understand they might have information regarding what has happened to this company and what you should be doing.
