Hi Vikki,

Just been reading your journal at blogspot, a very interesting read, and one that reminds me what a mess I made of my finances in the past. Good to see you're doing something positive about it rather than getting deeper in debt.

Stick with it, there is light at the end of the tunnel, trust me, I was there once!!

Thanks Deller, any advice you can give me would be much appreciated.

I'm so excited about doing this as I know for a fact all the debt on my bank account (about £2500) is pretty much from charges and if I can get them back you have no idea how much it would help me!

Yes, it will certainly take a big chunk out of your debt.

I'll be keeping a close eye on your thread and will offer help and support wherever I can.

Keep up the good work. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hi everyone,

Feeling so sh**e today, recieved eviction notice from Landlord yesterday (through no fault, she wants to renovate apparently) so now I have to leave my beautiful flat just before Christmas, and I'm probably gonna have to put all this on hold, as all the time and money I'll need will have to go on finding a new flat etc.:(

Sorry just wanted a moan! x

Recieved all my statements yesterday 2/11/06 and I calculated that I am owed £1770 :o not as much as a thought actually, but it still means that I can pay my overall debt off a year earlier:D .

Think I'm going to have to leave proceedings till after Christmas now though:( after yesterdays news, I don't want to mess anything due to stress and lack of money for court claims.

I will keep reading though and will hopefully be back soon!:-)

Stick with it. Remember the iinterest continues to accrue, so it is probably worth getting the ball rolling with your prelim letter.

My advice has hardly any legal foundation whatsoever, however you never know it it might just work!

Right ok, I've completed one of the spreadsheets for interest but just blocked out the interest bit so its only showing charges and dates. Total comes to £1721 (£1952.21 inc interest) but I also have a credit card account with Natwest, so I'm going to check for charges on that too before sending my prelim letter.

I'm assuming I don't have to send them another £10? I've put this on the letter instead..

I have, in previous correspondence enclosed the statutory maximum fee of £10 which I believe will cover the cost of requests for all accounts held with your company...blah...blah...blah...
