Hi

 

I am new to this and am worried about my overdraft if I claim my charges back as I live of it. Does anyone know how keen they are to take their overdraft back??? :?

Your overdraft should be fine.

 

It is extremely rare they take action on your account, so dont worry, and get started on your claim.

Hi thanks for that Dusary. Sorry not been online - sorting finances out. I sent letter of for my bank statements and eventually got em back - with a letter stating in view of the banks going through legal proceedings with OFT - they dont have to deal with my claim yet. what are people doing? Should I still go ahead and try and claim my charges back??? How - in view of thier letter??

Hi Crazyfrog.

 

The general feeling is to just go ahead with your claim in the usual way.

 

As you have had your statements back have you sent the Prelim letter off yet with a schedule of charges.

 

If not then this is your next step.

 

The bank has 14 days to reply, if no response then its the LBA letter next then another 14 day wait.

 

If still no response from them then its time for the N1.

 

Do read up as much as you can on other poeoples threads.

There is a font of useful information waiting for you.

 

Read some of the WINNERS threads too, give you all the inspiration you'll need.

Just follow the advice you are getting from everyone and you will not go wrong, they are all good peeps here. I have learned a lot from them. as overflow says read as many threads as you can and you will soon see how it works, also read some ***WON*** threads `cos we all will win in the end. after all is is OUR money that we are trying to get.

If you have any questions no matter how stupid they seem to you, just ask and someone will be along with the answer. We have all asked the same stupid questions at one time or another, and if you need to chill for a while you can always pop in Halifax Chill Out Thread. here for a chat, but be prepared to be shocked and amazed, they are all mental!!!

You would be wise to remember this too, no matter what the question, just ask.

Much better to get it right first time than to get it wrong and have to do it all again.
