I ask the RBS for a cop of my Credit Agreement under the redit Agreement ACT sent a £1.00 and within 10 days I got a copy back, the copy was not dated or even signed only had our details on the address and the amount the loan was for... I sent back a reply back stating I wanted a copy of the original agreement signed and dated and enclosed another £1.00, I have had a letter back saying they will only issue this if me and my husband send a signed letter to them for them to verify our signatures, is this correct or are they pulling a fast one, I'm concerend that they may scan and copy our signatures to the agreement... is this normal practice to sak for this.

You don't have to provide a signature to them. In the same way if you called them asking what your account balance was they would usually ask a couple of security questions. I would be a bit suspicious as well to be honest. Just write back ( keep a copy send recorded delivery ) without signing saying that you have asked for CCA info & they have the initial 12 working days to reply then if nothing after additional 30 days they will be committing a criminal offence.

Good luck! :)

the info they have supplied you with is likely to be compliant with a request for info under s77-79 of the act. a "true" copy can have signature and date omissions and still be valid.

you may wish to consider a SAR to see if they are in possession of a signed copy of YOUR agreement.
