Hi Dizzy, have you tried ringing them? I did twice and each time they have offered more money. I have had three offers now. I'm claiming nearly £2000 and so far have had £1526 credited back onto my card, which is now in credit. I'm still holding out for the rest though.

Hi Penny, Still haven't heard a thing - not even acknowledgement letter  . LBA runs out on Friday. As I type, hubby is on the phone to them (on hold) trying to find out whats happening. Will post the outcome, when he's done on the phone. Shall I send them everyone's best regards?

What phone number did you use? I rang the Customer Advocate Office on 01244 672628. When I spoke to them they would not discuss a settlement over the phone but said I would receive a response in the post and both times they came within a few days. I have just sent them a CCA request and am looking into claiming mis-sold PPI.

Well, just as I predicted...no phone call  . Hubby asked them for the Customer Advocate phone number and was told that they don't have one and could only be emailed, so thanks for that Penny. I take it this number is an office thats open 9-5ish, so will get him to ring them tomorrow. Will keep you posted. :D

I'm not really an expert on them either but from what I can gather they have 14 working days from when they received the CCA request to send you a copy of the original credit agreement which should be signed by you and them, if they havent sent it by then they have defaulted, which makes the debt unenforcable, and if they dont send it within the next 30 days they have committed a criminal offence.

I have just received full settlement plus contractual interest off them yesterday which paid off my card with extra to spare so the main reason I have sent a CCA is to find some info on my PPI payments cos I may be requesting them back too if I find out it was mis-sold to me.

Hi all, haven't been around much so have loads to catch up on - Mbna have offered GOGW payment of just under 400 pounds (which will be credited back onto card apparently. This is about 1/4 of what they owe. What do I do? I haven't filed N1 yet - do I get hubby to ring them and see if they make better offer (is this even likely?). Do I just send them a 'no,I want it all back letter' - but accept that as part payment? Or do I just file? Thanks, Dizzy x :)

hey there dizzy long time no speak

accept it as partial settlement tell them you want the rest Its up to you if you want to file court papers I didn't just sent them letters and waited they told me it would be 28 days before they could respond to my partial settlement letter - I was happy to wait that time

but stick to your own deadlines if you want and file court papers you mght get there a bit quiker than I did

Hey Jackster! How's things? Hmmm, well, I'm a bit behind with both of my claims - they're both at filing the N1 stage, but havent the time or money do it yet. Anyway, have just emailed Customer Advocate Office, gave them 14 days to pay up in full or go to court. Will now sit back and see what happens.....am also considering CCA request just to see what happens. :D
