After getting my Halifax charges back, she who must be obeyed decided to get hers back from Barclays. After sending letters etc she eventually filed a claim on MCO.

The claim was deemed served on 21st Feb. A short while later we received a letter saying they intended to defend. On this letter it said that if they don't file a defence within 28 days of the date of service, judgement may be entered against them.

It is now over 28 days since the date of service and we have heard no more. Can my wife now ask for judgement?

Yes.

But double-check with court first, it may well be that they did send defence and the court hasn't updated things. Barclays are usually pretty good at filing last minute, although one could imagine them being a bit sloppy after all the attention they got recently. :-D
