Hi all, I have phoned barclays today and asked for my statements for the last six years (They didnt charge me for this!) so just need to sit back and wait for them to come through (Dread to think how big the envelope will be:confused: ) Will keep you all posted and if you have any tips for me would be very grateful. Good luck all who are in the process.:D

Thank you crash. Ive got one question though - I just phoned barclays for my satements for the last 6 years and they are sending them within about 7 days they told me. Is this ok or do i have to send the letter about data protection or whatever it is!!!! Sorry but all this is sooo new to me. I have been reading up on it but it is so much to digest in one day!!:o

ashy if you can get them with a phone call, then no need for the D.P.A. letter. If they don't turn up in 7 days or so, you can then send that letter :)

I know people will say to carry on fighting but its a lot of money to me and as i said above had some problems which im still working on so i havent got the time to fight it and also it is money that was gone forever as far as i thought. good luck to all who are trying and sorry if people feel dissapointed that i didnt fight all the way:sad:

Great news ashy, it's your situation and circumstances at the end of the day so you are the person who's decision counts, not anyone else's :)

Congratulations and well done!

Welcome back, Ashy.

Great news. That's actually a pretty good offer! I got one myself this morning; I asked for £1250, they offered £570 !!!

Looks like you got lucky.

If they'd offered me the same amount as you, I'd probably have taken it, too!

They must have some sort of 'Wheel of Fortune' thing at Barclays HQ to work these offers out!

Who was your letter from? Mine was from 'David Spring'

Well done.

D.:D :D
