Link Financial are taking us to court for a debt originated from GE Money.

We have been trying to claim back , miss sold PPI from GE but they have not replied to any letters but they were fully aware that we are holding the account as in dispute.

They have put this in the hands of Link DCA while knowing that we dispute the ammount , we have a county court date with link however they are still calling periodically and asking us when we will pay.

We have acknoleged the court action but as yet not filed a defence.

This seems a bit odd, any thoughts ?

Link Financial are a nightmare company that seek opportunistic charging orders against homeowners. Use all available opportunities to stall this. Ask them for a true copy of the credit agreement plus a breakdown of all charges, including late payment and over limit charges. PM djweeble - he has extensive experience with them.

File a defence and request that the case is transfered to your local court, ASAP

We have had first hand experience with Link and charging orders, basically we fought and fought all the way but it did no good, the courts sided with them all the time, even when my husband was in hospital with cancer Link still persude a charging order and the courts granted them it. The fact that this caused us endless distress made no difference to Link or the courts.
