BMW 530D - When is xDrive, not xDrive. when the prop shaft has been removed..

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow Caggers!

Extremely long story short.

I puchased a BMW 5 Series Diesel with xDrive from a non BMW dealer in December 23 and on the surface i was pleased with the car apart.

he car was serviced this morning and it was found that the front prop shaft has been removed and xDrive module coded out meaning the car is currently 2 wheel drive, not AWD.

I have raised the issue with dealership i bought the car from and await their reply,

in the meantime i'm trying to find the best course of action as i know this is likely to become rather messy......

names and shame.

puts their 101 point inspection to shame before they sold it eh?

as you are outside of 30 days return 'as unfit for purpose/not as described' you'll just have to report it under consumer law and they'll decide if they will refund, repair or replace FOC to you.

id this on finance?

if so who and you need to inform them as well, it's their car remember...

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I'm going to give the Dealer (Non BMW) the opportunity to resolve the issue / return the car before naming them.

If they don't - Game on...

Car was purchased with a trade in and remainder paid by debit card.

We can help you if you give us the details we need.

As you are still giving them an opportunity to address the situation then there is no point in us giving advice until you are ready to receive it.
For the moment I am closing this thread.
